​Founded by Mick and Sandy Jones, Carbon Hill brings together decades of innovation in renewable technology and practical farming experience.

Since 2019, we’ve been demonstrating what happens when sustainable technology meets real-world agriculture. By applying biochar on our own land, we’ve seen healthier soils, stronger crops, improved animal wellbeing, and reduced inputs, this is proof that biochar builds resilience from the ground up.

Today, we continue to advance farm-scale research and open trials, sharing real-world data and results to help others make informed decisions. Using Woodtek-engineered systems, we produce EBC-certified agro farm-grade biochar, ensuring consistent quality, purity, and long-term environmental benefit.

Our latest development, the River Guard System, extends biochar’s impact beyond the soil. This simple yet powerful filtration system captures nutrients and sediments before they reach waterways, helping to improve river and stream health naturally. By making these designs open-source, we’re empowering farmers and communities to take local action for cleaner, healthier ecosystems.
